Getting started

What exactly does Brackits make?

Headers, footers, page bodies, and standalone components — the reusable pieces of a website. You describe what you need, the design agent builds it against your brand guideline, and you publish it as an embed you can place in Thinkific or WordPress.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You work in plain language with the design agent and place the result with a block, a shortcode, or a paste. If you do read code, the output is ordinary HTML and CSS and you can edit it directly.

How do I get access?

Brackits is invite-only during private beta. Join the waitlist and we'll be in touch as places open up. There's no public sign-up yet.

What's a design guideline, and do I have to write one?

It's your brand system — colours, typography, voice, layout rules — held in one place so everything generated inherits it.

You don't have to write it from scratch. Point Brackits at an existing website and it will import a starting guideline, which you then refine.

Embeds & publishing

If I change a design, do I have to update every page it's on?

No. Republish it in Brackits and every live embed picks up the change on the next page load. That's the whole point of placing an embed rather than pasting markup.

The one exception is the Thinkific SEO snapshot, which is a point-in-time copy by design. Those you re-copy.

Will a design clash with my site's CSS?

No. Embeds render inside a Shadow DOM, so your theme's styles can't reach into the design and the design's styles can't leak out onto your page.

What's the difference between inline and floating?

Inline renders only where you place its placeholder — the normal choice for a header, footer, or page section.

Floating renders site-wide and inserts itself at the top of the page. Use it for announcement bars, banners, and floating widgets.

Can I embed a third-party form or booking widget?

Yes. Tools like HubSpot, Calendly, Typeform, and Stripe pricing tables work inside a design — they're placed in a sandboxed frame so their scripts behave normally despite the Shadow DOM isolation.

Are my designs indexed by search engines?

A standard embed renders in the browser, so its text isn't in the page source. For pages you want indexed on Thinkific, use the SEO snapshot, which puts the content directly into the page.

Can I roll back a change I don't like?

Yes. Every design keeps a version history with a summary of each change, and you can revert to any earlier version.

AI & your data

Who owns the designs Brackits generates?

You do. You keep ownership of your brand guideline, your prompts, and the designs produced for you. See our terms for the detail.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. We use AI providers under terms that prohibit training on data submitted through their APIs.

Could another customer get a design identical to mine?

Designs are generated against your brand guideline, so in practice they differ. But we can't guarantee uniqueness — similar prompts can produce similar structures. If uniqueness matters legally for your business, review the output before publishing.

Does Brackits see my students' data?

Only if you deliberately switch on a personalization option for a section, and every tier is off by default. When enabled, we read the signed-in learner's profile or enrollments purely to render that design. It's never sent to AI providers.

Full detail is in our privacy policy.

Can I use my own AI assistant with Brackits?

Yes. Brackits runs an MCP server, so assistants like Claude can browse your projects, read your design guideline, and publish designs for you. Paste the MCP URL from your dashboard into any MCP-capable client; sign-in happens in your browser and every tool is scoped to your current team.

Teams & account

Can I invite my team?

Yes. Teams have Owner, Admin, and Member roles, and projects have their own Owner, Editor, and Viewer roles so you can give a client or contractor access to one project without opening up everything.

Can I manage more than one site or school?

Yes. Each project maps to one site or school, with its own design guideline and connections. Agencies typically run one project per client.

What happens if I disconnect an integration?

We delete the stored credentials. Designs already placed as an SEO snapshot stay put because that content lives in your page. Live embeds stop updating, and you should remove their placeholders.

What does it cost?

Nothing during private beta. When we introduce paid plans we'll give account holders advance notice by email and you'll be able to decline before any charge applies. See pricing.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a team removes its projects, designs, guidelines, and assets. For a full account erasure request, email [email protected].
